A WOMAN has been charged with assaulting two police officers after biting and punching them - while drunk on a night out.
19-year-old Yasmin Carter, of no fixed address, will appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on February 25 after two officers, one male and one female, were assaulted on the Cedar Road in Redditch in the early hours of Saturday, February 8.
They had stopped their vehicle to provide assistance to two women having an argument.
The officers tried to help the woman home but instead were assaulted.
The female officer was punched and male officer was bitten.
Commenting online Ed Hancox, chief inspector for North Worcestershire, said: "Two of my #Redditch team were assaulted last night by a female who they were trying to take home as she was drunk. They were bitten and punched."
He called it "completely unacceptable behaviour".
