POLICE in Redditch have taken to social media to shame inconsiderate parents who park illegally outside schools.
The problem of parents illegally parking outside local schools is nothing new, but police are asking people to consider their parking for children's safety.
Recently officers were outside St Thomas More Catholic First School in Woodrow Centre to tackle the issue.
They met with Joanna Hicking, the school’s safeguarding lead, and used the mini police officer signs to make members people more aware of not parking on yellow zig zag lines.
PCSO Heather Bridgwater said: "It is important to educate people about this as the lines are there to keep the children of the school safe.
"These signs proved successful and allowed us to communicate with various members of the public in regards to safer parking."
