REDDITCH MP Rachel Maclean has revealed she was operated on by disgraced surgeon Ian Paterson.
Patterson was jailed for 20 years on charges of wounding with intent after he carried out hundreds of unnecessary operations involving invented or exaggerated cancer risks.
Mrs Maclean said in a tweet that she had been operated on by Patterson around ten years ago following the release earlier this week of an independent enquiry into Patterson's case.

She told the BBC: "I had the lump removed and subsequently received the all-clear from Paterson but, obviously, the doubt is in my mind that I even needed to have that procedure [and] whether he really knew what he was doing.
"I think the key now is that people who haven't had any contact get help if they need it, even if it is just to set their mind at rest."
