A MAN who breached a court order by calling emergency services for no valid reason has been jailed.

Guy Turner was sentenced to 20 weeks behind bars by Worcestershire magistrates who said his offence was made more serious as he had a long history of making nuisance calls to police.

The 56-year-old from Hewell Road, Redditch, also admitted breaching orders made for offences including criminal damage, wasting police time and using public communication networks to cause annoyance, inconvenience or anxiety.

He was further ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge.

Turner had previously been fined a total of £800 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge three charges of assaulting police and one charge of breaching a criminal behaviour order.

Also before Worcestershire magistrates:

Neville Algar, aged 62, of Bascote Close, Redditch was ordered to complete 100 hours unpaid work within the next 12 months and pay£costs of £135 and an £85 victim surcharge.

Algar had pleaded guilty to conduct that amounted to stalking by attending his victims home and place of work and sending multiple emails, messages and voicemails.

Magistrates also imposed a restraining order preventing Algar from contacting his victim.

Sam Crawley, aged 32, from Berkeswell Close, Redditch, was made the subject of a criminal behaviour order following two convictions of theft.

Crawley was banned from the Kingfisher Shopping Centre and Abbey and Trafford retail parks for two years.

Sarah Kelly, aged 36, of Melen Street, Redditch, was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay £135 costs and a £32 victim surcharge after pleading guilty to driving with excess alcohol in her breath.

Alan Kesterton, aged 29, of Nairn Close, Redditch, was fined £40 and ordered to pay £135 costs and a £32 victim surcharge after he admitted being drunk and disorderly.

Atif Munir, aged 28, of Mount Street, Redditch, was fined £155 and ordered to pay £60 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

Munir pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention after a head on collision caused when he crossed a double white line to overtake another vehicle.

Lee O'Sullivan, aged 29, from Exhall Close, Redditch, was fined £200, banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £200 costs and a £32 victim surcharge after being found guilty of being in charge of a vehicle on a road with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his breath.

O'Sullivan, who pleaded not guilty, was found alone in the Ford Focus with the engine running and the keys in the ignition.

Craig Bott, aged 39, of Deans Close, Redditch, was jailed for a total of 12 weeks suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay a total of £185 compensation.

Bott had pleaded guilty to four charges of theft and two charges of assaulting police, he was further sentenced for two previous convictions of theft.

Tadeusz Krefta, aged 34, of Deans Close, Redditch, was ordered to pay £50 compensation and £50 costs after he admitted Criminal damage by destroying a rip-proof top belonging to West Mercia Police.

Matthew Richards, aged 27, of Mount Pleasant, Redditch, was banned from driving for 46 months, given a community order, fined £211 and instructed to pay £135 costs and a £90 victim surcharge after admitting driving with excess alcohol in his breath.

Jordan Swingler, aged 23, of Banners Lane, Redditch, was given a conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 compensation, £135 costs and a £21 victim surcharge after he pleaded guilty to assault.

Stewart Aldridge, aged 65, of Dixon Close, Redditch, was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £100 and ordered to pay £135 costs and £32 victim surcharge after he admitted driving with excess alcohol in his breath.
