A "significant" fire broke out at an industrial estate in Redditch.
Firefighters were called to Sims Metal Management on the Enfield Industrial Estate at 11pm last night (Wednesday, January 8).
Hereford and Worcester Fire Rescue Service warned nearby residents to keep their windows and doors shut as they battled the blaze.

Firefighters worked through the night to extinguish the fire on the Hewell Road estate and warned people to avoid the area due to toxic smoke in the air.
09/01 01:00 Due to the ongoing incident in the Hewell Road, Enfield Industrial Estate, Redditch, and the quantity of smoke in the area, people are advised to stay away for the next few hours if possible.

The fire was extinguished just after 7.30am this morning (Thursday, January 9).
