RESIDENTS in Redditch are being urged to remain vigilant after a spate of car crime.

Over the last week a number of cars have been stolen or had their number plates removed.

A number of vans have also been targeted with tools being stolen.

On Saturday, December 28 offenders gained entry to a property in Munsley Close, and stolen the car keys.

These were then used to steal a Mini copper car, colour red, from the driveway.

It happened around 2am.

Also on December 28 a parked van was broken into on Lodge Road overnight and tools stolen from within including a Bosch angle grinder, Bosch hammer drill and a Bosch jigsaw.

On Sunday, December 29 the front and rear reg plates were removed and stolen off a car parked on the roadside outside the owner’s property in Avenue Road in Astwood Bank.

On Monday, December 30 the front and rear reg plates were removed and stolen off a Mercedes van parked on the roadside in Ash Tree Road, Batchley.

Anyone with any information about any of theses offences is being urged to call the police.
