David Wilson Homes has donated a selection of ‘star’ themed books to Woodrow First School and Nursery in Redditch, to celebrate its ‘five-star’ accreditation from the Home Builders Federation (HBF) annual customer satisfaction survey.

This is the tenth year in a row that David Wilson Homes has received the top rating and to mark its continued success, the housebuilder has donated a selection of ‘star’ themed books to the school, which is near to its Abbey Gate development on Nine Days Lane.

The HBF survey asks all customers who have bought a new house whether they would recommend it to a friend and for David Wilson Homes to be awarded five stars means that more than 90% of its customers are happy to recommend their property.

Richard Kieran, headteacher at Woodrow First School and Nursery said: “We are extremely pleased that David Wilson Homes offered this fantastic collection of books to our school, as it’s important to us to provide an extensive range of fiction for our pupils in order to encourage reading and creativity.

“We’re very much looking forward to what the future brings for our students and allowing them to progress with their reading skills with these exciting works of fiction.”

Valerie Martin, sales manager at David Wilson Homes Mercia, said: “We’re delighted to have donated a wide selection of books to Woodrow First School and Nursery, which we are sure they will enjoy over the school year.

“Whilst we acknowledge our success as a five-star housebuilder, we strive to reward the local community in which we build our homes and are always thinking of new ways we can be beneficial to the surrounding areas of our developments.

“We wish the pupils every success with their future endeavours and hope that the books we have donated are a wonderful resource for students in years to come!”
