HUNDREDS of people turned up for Alcester's official Christmas lights switch-on.
The lights, put up and financed by voluntary group A.B.L.E, were turned on by Elsie Lyn Simons, and Harry Parkes, both aged seven.
There was Mulled wine and mince pies, provided by the Elves of Alcester and Bidford Rotary, and Alcester Court Leet were in attendance.
A spokesman said it was large turn out for the event, and the weather was perfect.
The switch-on took place on Saturday on the St. Nicholas’ Church Green from 4pm and ended with the lighting of the Tree of Light.
