MEN in Redditch have stripped off and posed on bikes and in building sites for a naked charity 2020 calendar.

The idea came from resident Neil Grubb and is in memory of Lisa Lent who died last December after a two-year fight against Motor Neurone Disease

Money raised from the calendar will go toward raising awareness of the life-limiting, rapidly-progressing disease.

Neil said: "Lisa was 52 and left behind her loving husband Andy.

"Andy was her sole carer 24 hours a day, as she got worse they had help in the morning and again in the evening, it was terrible to see how she and Andy were destroyed by this horrible disease."

He added: "I wanted to do something to raise money and a smile that I knew would make Lisa laugh if she were still here. So this is where the idea for a Full Monty-style calendar came from.

"We’ve had a lot of local lads and businesses help out with the calendar and also there is a new local band (Fret Jester) having a gig at the Hollybush Inn at Alcester on Saturday, November 30 at around 8pm, where we hope to sell some calendars and raise donations for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

"We’ve had a few laughs doing the photo shoots and also raised some confidence with a few of the chaps who were worried with their body image, so hopefully some good will come out off doing this calendar for everyone."
