THE DEATH of a man in his seventies is not being treated as suspicious, officials say.
Officers from the British Transport Police were called to Kirkstall Forge station at 9.31am on Saturday (November 16) over reports of a casualty on the tracks.
The incident took place on the Airedale line, between Leeds and Shipley.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Paramedics also attended but sadly a man in his seventies was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
