FULL of festive fun and building community spirit, Herefordshire's Christmas Fayre returns to support local businesses.

Now in its second year, the fayre will provide a platform for small businesses, helping them to showcase their products and grow their customer base.

The event, which is hosted by the Herefordshire Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs, will be held on December 8 at Hereford Racecourse and run from 11am until 4pm.

"We are delighted to be hosting this event again, and have been amazed by the interest we have received so far. Events like these are vital for rural communities as it can be extremely difficult to raise awareness about your brand and business," explains Ali Parker, events chairman for Herefordshire Federation of Young Farmers' clubs.

Over 40 of the county's finest designers, makers and boutique businesses will gather together under one roof to offer unique gifts, decorations, crafts, food and drinks and inspired interior ideas, to help bring that magical Christmas sparkle to every home.

In addition to supporting local businesses, the fayre will give members of the public an opportunity to get into the festive spirit and provide a fun family day out.

"We have several different activities planned for the day, including carols from the Salvation Army brass band and a visit from Santa to entertain the children," Ali adds.

Entry to the event costs £3 which includes a delicious home-baked mince pie, for children under 14 the event is free.
