OFFICERS in Redditch investigating a domestic violence incident were forced to find another method of transport after the suspect ran off.

The officers were called to the incident on Saturday.

After the suspect fled the scene one was forced to borrow a bike from a member of the public and chased the suspect - catching up to them and putting them in cuffs.

Posting on social media PC Danny Fulford said: "Big thanks to the member of the public who loaned me their push bike, which meant the suspect was caught and arrested.

"The push bike is now at Redditch Police Station, washed, and fitted with two new lights as a thanks.

"To the owner, please contact me via 101 and quote incident number 0545S 270919."
