A VAN full of pensioners had to be rescued after getting trapped in flood water in Alcester.
Fire crews from Alcester attended the scene, and found the driver, and his elderly passengers, all stuck in the van at Coughton Ford, off the A435.
A spokesman from Alcester Fire Station said they were called out mid afternoon and had to pull the van to safety.
It happened yesterday (Tuesday, September 24) after a day of heavy downpours, following numerous warnings to motorists about the dangers of driving through water.
