TWO teenagers have been attacked in the Skate Park in Morton Stanley Park, just as this year's Morton Stanley Festival was coming to an end.

The incident happened just after 6pm on Sunday, August 18.

The first assault is believed to have occurred when a female was approached by a group of 20 to 25 people.

Two females in the group became aggressive towards her telling her they were going to fight her.

It is believed she was then punched and slapped to the face.

No injuries were suffered.

A male intervened and told the group to leave her alone.

The group then started shouting and picking on the male resulting in one of them picking up his push bike and riding it around the park without his permission and a short time later returning it.

As he walked away, it is believed he was punched and pushed and chased into the woodland.

The male suffered reddening and bruising to the side of his face.

PC Danny Fulford said: "We would like to reassure the local community that we are are keen to progress our enquiries and are taking these incidents extremely seriously.
