A PERSON has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Rhyl this morning.
Police, paramedics and an air ambulance were called to the scene of the crash on Brighton Road at just after 11.50am.
Police urged motorists to avoid the road following the accident.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called today at approximately 11.52am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Brighton Road.
"We responded with one emergency ambulance, one rapid response vehicle, and the crew were supported by Wales Air Ambulance. One patient was transported to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd."
The casualty was taken to hospital by road ambulance.
