There was nothing to choose between two porous defences as Alvechurch drew 2-2 with Barwell at Lye Meadow.

The Southern League Premier Division Central clash sprang into life with Kyle Rowley's glancing header putting Church ahead within 90 seconds only for Jamie Towers to prod in the leveller after Josh Ezewele had given away possession to Sam Grouse on the corner of his own box.

Brady Hickey was then given the freedom of the six-yard box to ghost in to nod home from point-blank range just past the half-hour mark and Kyle Morrison had to clear off the line Omotolani Omotala's shot to prevent the hosts going 3-1 down.

Ezewele was denied a blatant penalty when shoved in the back but then levelled with a looping deflected cross-shot two minutes before the break.

Chances were few and far between in the second half with the match petering out.

Tamworth had Chris Cox sent off late on and Kyle Perry made sure of the points four minutes into added time, converting a Josh Quaynor centre.

Four goals from Aiden Thomas saw Westfields through 4-1 against Congleton Town in an FA Cup replay.
