A GANG has stormed into a shop in Alcester, stealing a several items.

Four to five males were seen breaking into shop, one armed with a crowbar, along Church Street.

Within a couple of minutes the males left the area in a dark grey coloured Audi along Church Street, towards Henley Street.

Several items from inside the shop were stolen.

A police spokesman said that an area search was made - but the men got away.

They added further evidence is being gathered from witnesses and CCTV.

They did not say the name of the shop.

The incident happened around 3.40am on Friday, August 2.
