WORK to repair a deep sinkhole that appeared in a residential street should be completed today.
As previously reported in the Advertiser, the sinkhole opened up in a road in Astwood Bank.
The large hole, in Avenue Road, appeared last weekend (June 29/30) prompting residents to report it.

A spokesman from Worcestershire County Council Highways said at the time that it was 6ft deep, but could be bigger.
The road has been closed since while repairs and an exploration of the sewers below the hole were carried out.
A spokesman for the county council said today that the operation to repair the hole should be completed by the end of the day.
