A COMPANY run by a Bromsgrove husband and wife has scooped three regional awards for its work.

Mister & Missus Ltd - run by Richard and Nicola De Sousa - has won three prestigious Master Builder Awards.

The firm claimed the prizes for 'Best Bathroom', 'Best Large Renovation' and 'Best Heritage Project' in the Federation of Master Builders’ (FMB) Midlands Region awards.

Mister & Missus Ltd secured all three awards for the work the team carried out on a three-storey townhouse built in 1846.

The property was in a very tired condition and although lived in until recently, it was essentially derelict.

Mister & Missus Ltd were employed to renovate the property, restore the period charm and create a modern, sociable space.

The company managed to create a home that not only looks stunning but also saved the new owners tens of thousands of pounds during the build process.

Judges stated that the finished property was ‘first class’, naming Mister & Missus Ltd a credit to the FMB.

Richard and Nicola received their awards at the FMB South West, Midlands and Eastern Master Builder Awards Gala Dinner, at the Hilton DoubleTree in Stratford-upon-Avon.

The firm will now go through to compete in the national finals for the chance to win the UK category title at the InterContinental Hotel, Park Lane, London, in September.

If they win the overall national Master Builder Awards title, selected from all national category winners, the firm will drive away with a new Isuzu D-Max Utah Pick Up truck worth more than £30,000.

John Watson, FMB Central Director, said: "Mister & Missus Ltd should feel justly proud of their achievement in winning and we wish the firm every success in the national competition.”
