A SPECIAL memorial concert celebrating the life of distinguished organist and accompanist Graham Moseley will take place next week.

Graham, a well-known face around the town, sadly died aged 88 earlier this year.

Graham’s funeral was held at St Stephen’s Church.

Born in Redditch, Graham was organist at a number of churches and had played the organ at St Stephen's for more than 60 years.

Of the church’s organ he had fondly said: “You don’t have to play it - it plays you.

“The minute you sit at it, it just calls you in and draws out all the beautiful music you have inside you.”

He also played at other churches including St George’s and at Emmanuel Church in the Ecumenical Centre.

A special concert will take place to honor and remember Graham in the Ecumenical Centre on July 5 from 7pm.

Admission is free with a retiring collection.
