A MAN has had £500 stolen from his account while being distracted at a cashpoint in broad daylight in Alcester.
While the victim was using a cashpoint in Bleachfield Street a woman approached, standing between him and the cashpoint.
She then asked for directions while holding a piece of paper.
After she left the victim aborted the withdrawal and went home.
They then found out that £500 had been withdrawn.
A police spokesman said: "It is thought that during the distraction the female offender has managed to make a withdrawal on the victim's card. The offender is described as a white female, Eastern European, late 30s, stocky build, short dark hair, wearing a cream coloured leather coat."
The incident happened on May 22 around 10am.
Anyone with any information is being urged to call police on 101 quoting 0159 22/05/2019.
