MORE than 100 people recently turned up to Great Alne Park to celebrate a family fun day.

The event included a falconry flying display, bbq, and live music from Warwickshire favourite Suzi Woods, who has sung with some high-profile names, including touring with Jools Holland and his Swing Orchestra.

While the sun shined, local children helped themselves to ice creams and enjoyed having their faces painted.

Visitors watched on in awe as impressive birds of prey; including peregrine falcons, barn owls and kestrels, swooped through the picturesque grounds of Great Alne Park.

Tina Digby, village manager of Great Alne Park, said: “We had an absolutely fantastic day. It was wonderful to see those both young and old enjoying the fun and to welcome some new faces to the village too.

"The sun was shining and the falconry display was very impressive. It was definitely the highlight of the day.”
