BRISTNALL Hall Academy in Oldbury has signed the Armed Forces Covenant, pledging its long-term commitment to the Armed Forces community.

The Armed Forces Covenant was introduced to ensure members of the armed forces community have the same access to services, as any other citizen.

Support is provided in a number of areas including housing, education, healthcare, finance and new employment.

The Covenant is a promise to the nation to ensure that those who serve or who served previously in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

Executive principal Vince Green said: “Our academy is committed to supporting Armed Forces personnel through our Covenant pledges.”

The document was co-signed by Wing Commander Andy Kime and Executive Principal Vince Green at Bristnall Hall Academy.

The event was supported with representation from West Midlands Lieutenancy by Deputy Lieutenant Gurpreet Bhatia, various armed forces personnel and the West Midlands Reserve Forces and Cadets Association.
