A MOTORCYCLIST has been seriously injured after a collision with a car just outside Dudley on Friday morning.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the junction of the A449 and A463 in Wombourne at 9.09am.
They sent one ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to discover one patient, a man, who was the motorcyclist.
“He had suffered very serious injuries in the incident and received specialist trauma care at the scene.
“Ambulance staff then transported the man to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham for further treatment.
"The doctor from the air ambulance travelled with the patient to help administer further treatment whilst on route to hospital.”
