POPULAR comedian The Man They Call G will return this Christmas to star as Buttons in the Palace Theatre panto, Cinderella.

Upholding the traditions of good old British variety, G has previously appeared on ITV’s ever-popular Britain’s Got Talent receiving ‘yeses’ from all four judges and, last year, starred in the world-renowned Cromer Pier Show, proving such a success with both audiences and critics alike that he is set to return again this year for their 2019 Summer Season.

A spokesman from the theatre said: "G had audiences in stitches last season as Wishee Washee in our record-breaking production of Aladdin which also starred Collabro’s Michael Auger and Strictly Come Dancing’s Robin Windsor.

"With his quirky persona, quick-witted ad libs and flawless comedy vocal impressions he quickly won the hearts of Redditch audiences, both young and old."

Pantomime producer Paul Holman added: “G was an instant hit with Redditch audiences last year and I am delighted that he will be back to share his infectious comedy once more as Cinderella’s loveable sidekick, Buttons.”

G joins Emmerdale’s Sapphire Elia who will star in the title role of Cinderella with more exciting casting announcements still to come.

This year’s production promises to be more magical than ever with spectacular special effects, dazzling costumes and scenery along with all the well-loved traditional elements of pantomime.

Cinderella runs at Redditch Palace Theatre from December 9 to January 5.
