A MAN who got 'wound up' launched an expletive-strewn racially aggravated verbal attack in a Redditch recruitment agency.

Usman Ulhaq called the manager at the AM2PM agency a "dirty white bitch" after he and a female companion were asked to leave the business's premises.

Redditch magistrates were told Ulhaq, aged 24, of Alcester Road, Birmingham, had gone to the agency on October 3 last year with the woman so that she could take some tests before signing onto their books to be offered employment.

However the woman, who claimed she had become unwell, was lying on the sofa and floor at the business and did not do well in the tests.

After staff told her she would not be offered work Ulhaq became abusive.

He left but later returned and was refused entry, which caused Ulhaq to again become angry and approached a member of staff who pushed him away.

Ulhaq then walked away making a cut throat gesture.

Prosecutor Tim Talbot-Webb told magistrates: "By coming back he clearly intended to cause harassment."

Ulhaq pleaded guilty to racially aggravated intentional harassment, his lawyer, Mazar Iqbal, said: "He was upset at the manner in which she was treated, it wound him up, he lost the plot."

The unemployed care worker was sentenced to a 12 month community order and instructed to complete 40 hours unpaid work.

He was also ordered to pay £135 costs and a victim surcharge of £85.
