RESIDENTS are being asked to nominate their favourite local charity to become one of Kingfisher Shopping Centre's Charity Partners of the Year.

The centre helped charities raise more than £32,000 in 2018 though fundraising and promotional activities and now wants to surpass last year’s fundraising total, creating even more opportunities for local people who need support while raising awareness of the great work that local charities do.

Domonique Lippett, marketing manager at Kingfisher, said: “Community is at the heart of what we do and so we are pleased that we can contribute to help local charities.

"We are delighted to be continuing the Kingfisher Cares initiative for 2019 by giving local charities the opportunity to boost their fundraising efforts through a partnership with Kingfisher and we welcome charities of all backgrounds that are local to Kingfisher to apply.”

The centre is looking for three charity partners for 2019.

Once nominations and applications have been received, a poll will be put on the Kingfisher Facebook page for people to vote for their favourite charity.

To nominate or for more information, e-mail talitha.chauhan@kingfisher-centre.co.uk or visit kingfishershopping.co.uk to download an application form.

The closing date for applications is 5.30pm February 10.
