POLICE are appealing for information to help identify the occupants of two houses in Redditch following the discovery of two cannabis farms.
On Saturday, January 26, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service attended an electrical fire at two properties on Other Road.
Officers also turned up and the two properties were found to contain two cannabis farms inside them.
The cannabis plants in one of the properties were destroyed in the fire, however a large quantity were found in the second property.
While investigations are ongoing, West Mercia Police is trying to identify the occupants of both addresses which are 117 and 119 Other Road.
Detective Constable Claire Masters from West Mercia Police said: "Thankfully these drugs never made it onto the streets and the remaining plants have now been destroyed.
"West Mercia Police is dedicated to tackling drug supply in the community and we will not tolerate drug dealing nor will we allow properties to be used for the production of cannabis.
"I would urge anyone with any information or who may be able to help us identify the occupants of 117 and 119 Other Road in Redditch to please get in touch so that we can bring the offenders to justice."
Anyone with any information is being asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 557s of 26 January.
