SEVERAL community minded staff from Hanbury CE First School have signed up to take part in the Primrose Hospice's Lantern Walk next Saturday (February 2).

Already eight of the school's staff have pledged to take part in the walk around the scenic gardens of Hanbury Hall - with the prospect of even more staff to follow.

The school staff have even set up their own Just Giving page to try and raise more money for the Bromsgrove-based hospice which provides free support for life-limited people and their families.

People taking part in the walk will carry lanterns to light their way, while remembering loved ones who have passed away.

The school's office manager, Claire Parmley, said: "The Lantern Walk is a local event to us and some of our colleagues have used Primrose's services over the years, so we thought we'd support it.

"Some of us are bringing our families along too.

"It's a chance to get together and do something for a great cause".

Tickets are still available for the Lantern Walk with adults priced at £14, children aged under 12-years-old, £5 and a family ticket of two adults and two children costing £30

Adults will be given a lantern while children will be handed a glow stick wristband.

All participants will also receive a free drink from the Stables Cafe.

Registration begins at 4pm with the walk set to start at 4.45pm prompt.

Tickets can be obtained by searching Primrose Hospice Lantern Walk on www.eventbrite.co.uk or by contacting 01527 889796.
