REDDITCH will mark this year's Holocaust Memorial Day on Saturday, January 26, with a procession through the town and an event featuring a talk by Sokphal Din, survivor of the Cambodian Genocide.
Cllr Matt Dormer Leader of Redditch Borough Council, said: “Through Holocaust Memorial Day we honour the memory of victims of genocide and atrocity in the world, and stand together as a community to ensure that we do not allow such things to occur again.
“All are welcome on Saturday and on behalf of the council I’d like to thank all the partners from across Redditch who are involved in the event, from the schools and the choirs to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, as we continue to listen and learn from the past.”
