THE Redditch Labour Party will once again be holding its Christmas Eve meal event, to provide a hot meal for those who are in need.

The meal will be held at St Andrew's Church in Church Hill, where Labour Councillors, members, and volunteers, will cook and deliver meals to different individuals and groups.

Labour Councillor Joe Baker, who every year organises the event, said: "This year we are expect a larger amount of meals to be provided as more and more people are feeling the economic squeeze, plus we are finding more people who are feeling isolated and vulnerable due to the cuts in social care.

"It is always a pleasure to be able to help in anyway we can, and I would like to thank all those who have given their time to help this year."

Any groups or individuals who would benefit from a hot meal this Christmas Eve can turn up at the church (from 12.30pm).
