MORE than 1,000 people turned up for Alcester's annual Christmas lights switch on.
The event took place on Sunday, November 25 on the town’s packed out high street.
And the honor of flicking the switch went to five-year-old cousins Max and Eadie Bugler.
The lights were provided by local organisation ABLE and supported by Alcester and Bidford Rotary.
There was also hot punch and mince pies for residents in the town hall, and Christmas carols to get people well and truly in the festive mood.
