A REDDITCH funeral directors have erected a display on their shop front to honour fallen soldiers ahead of Remembrance Sunday.

A spokesman from family-owned Thomas Brothers Funeral Directors said: "On this special 100th anniversary year marking the end of the First World War, we wanted to commemorate its significance and poignance, with a display of poppies to acknowledge and remember the lives lost.

"Thomas Brothers have always maintained close connections with The Royal British Legion and its members. The veterans voluntarily attend the funerals of ex-servicemen and women.

"Mark, Ben and Ceri Thomas are all former Royal Marines and understand how important this is to families in our care. They are actively involved every year with the poppy appeal and remembrance Sunday events."
