A REDDITCH gym has raised a staggering £84,284 for Cancer Research UK, as a result of its tireless fundraising efforts.

Over previous years, Gymophobics Centres across the UK have held hundreds of fundraising events in aid of charity.

The Gymophobics Centre in Redditch has recently been personally recognised for the centre’s fundraising efforts.

Sue Aravanis, from Gymophobics Redditch, said: “We are always looking for ways in which we can raise money for well deserved charities and we are delighted that our efforts over the years have really made a difference.

“We have also produced a ‘through the times’ calendar that will be available soon, with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK and Macmillan – just one of many fundraisers we organise each year.”

Cancer Research UK wrote to Gymophobics Redditch to personally thank the centre for all its hard work over the years.

The money will go toward helping to reduce the number of deaths from cancer.
