MORE than 600 people are expected to turn up in alcester next month for the much loved Seco Alcester 10k run.

Alcester cutting tool specialist Seco Tools has shown great support for the run signing an agreement with promoters Raceways Events to be the headline sponsor for the fourth year running.

Richard Jelfs, from Seco Tools UK, said: “Having been located in Alcester ever since the company was first established in 1964, we take our corporate social responsibilities seriously, and our staff can always be counted upon to help the vulnerable and the disadvantaged, and to lend their support to worthy cause.”

The race is on Sunday, October 7 starting at 10am on High Street.

The route takes runners out into the stunning country lanes of Warwickshire for a single loop with two drinks stations.

All runners receive chip timing, bespoke finishers’ medals, post race snacks and race photography, as well as some Hogans cider and Erdinger alcohol free lager along the way.
