HALESOWEN Town assistant boss Matt Clarke says this Saturday's clash at basement boys Bedworth United is "massive" for the club.

The Yeltz have drawn their last four league games but crashed out of the FA Cup with Saturday's 3-0 loss against Northern Premier League side Gainsborough Trinity.

Clarke has now called for a positive response as Town look to build momentum.

He said: "It was disappointing against Gainsborough but it was always going to be tough. They are a good side and have started the season well.

"It was a tough draw but at 0-0 there was nothing in the game. We've then switched off at a set play at the end of the first half and found ourselves behind. The second half was one sided after that which was disappointing from our point of view.

"Saturday is a massive game for everyone at the club.

"We are playing a team that has not started well but it is on an artificial surface so we have to make sure we go there positive and upbeat.

"We have drawn a lot of games lately but we have to start picking up wins now. If we can do that against Bedworth then it could be the sort of win that kick-starts us.

"We do have to start turning our draws into wins and heading up the table. As we keep telling the players, we really are not that far away.

"We haven't created too many chances recently but we do have goals in this team. It's about concentration levels at the back and about defending our box better and having that personal pride about keeping clean sheets.

"If we do that then we'll win games because we do have goals in us."

The Yeltz will follow Saturday's trip to Bedworth with a Birmingham Senior Cup clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers' under-23s.

The first round tie will take place at the Grove on Tuesday night (7.45pm kick-off).

The club has reduced ticket prices for the game with adults costing £5 and £3 for concessions. Children aged 12 and under will be admitted for free.
