AN Alcester woman will be walking 27 miles to raise cash for a charity that helps improve the lives of young carers.
Kathrin Foster, consort and wife to the mayor of Alcester councillor Andrew Foster, will be raising the money for Warwickshire Young Carers.
Kathrin, who also wants to raise awareness of what the charity does, said: “I am very happy to support the mayor of Alcester’s chosen charity. The charity wants to give carers the same life changes as their peers, who don’t have to juggle their caring responsibilities with other aspects of their life such as going to school, college, work or further training.”
The Nordic walking marathon takes place on September 15 in Purbeck, Dorset.
