AN Alcester charity shop is in need of donations.

The Headway shop, on the High Street, which is run by brain injury charity Headway, is asking for donations from residents.

As well as clothes, the shop is looking for donations of bric-a-brac, household goods, toys, games, electrical goods and any other items as they rotate their stock with the changing seasons.

"As the weather gets colder you might need a new winter coat, but don't throw your old one away, donate it to Headway," said shop manager Rachel Avery.

"Whether it's clothes your kids have grown out of, or outfits you no longer wear, your donations will be helping people directly affected by brain injury to rebuild their lives.

“The effects of brain injury can be devastating and some people have to start from scratch, relearning the most basic of life skills such as walking and talking.

"We tend to only think about charities like Headway when we need their help, but without the support of the public, they wouldn't be able to provide their vital support.

"Even the smallest contribution can make a big impact. Don't forget if you are a tax payer and can Gift Aid to your donations we can raise 25 per cent more cash for each item sold."

Stock donations can be received at the Headway charity shop on 33 High Street, Alcester, Warwickshire B49 5AF or for more information call Rachel Avery on 01789 765 262.
