A WOMAN in her 20s has been assaulted on the dance floor of Fever, in Redditch town centre.

Investigations are continuing into the assault, which took place early Saturday, July 28, with officers appealing for witnesses to contact them with any information.

The assault is reported to have taken place in the nightclub between 2.15am and 2.50am, when a woman in her 20s is believed to have been assaulted near a booth on the dance floor.

The suspect has been described as a women, aged in her 40s and of medium build, with dark shoulder-length hair, and was wearing a white top or dress and black shoes.

She may also have been seen talking with door staff after being ejected from the club, which is continuing to support police with their investigations.

Officers would particularly like to speak to a man who was stood nearby in a bright coloured top, who may be an important witness to the incident.

A police spokesman said: "The victim is not reported to have suffered any serious injuries, but if you have any information that could help, please call West Mercia Police on 101 and quote incident number 156s of 28 July.
