FANCY getting fit and making new friends?
Then put your best foot forward and join like-minded people on weekly walks around the Abbey track.
They are part of the national ‘Walks for Health Scheme’ and are led by a trained volunteer.
Redditch Borough Council’s health intervention officer Hayley Gwilliam said: “As well as being an ideal form of exercise, regular walking can help reduce the risk of heart disease, lower blood pressure, improve blood cholesterol levels and help control diabetes.
“And what’s more, you can meet like-minded people and have lots of fun at the same time.”
The walks start from Wednesday, July 25, at 11am at the Abbey Stadium.
