REDDITCH rugger followers are in for a treat as locally based Birmingham and Solihull have been selected to stage the RFU 24 Sevens regional finals at their Portway headquarters next month.
The event takes place on Saturday, July 7 when mens, womens and social sides from around the region will be competing in a full day of fixtures.
Matches are set to commence at 9.30am and continue right through until 6pm with the action taking place on four pitches.
There will be a players and supporters village open throughout the day providing hot food, from breakfast in the morning to an afternoon and evening BBQ.
There will also be an outdoor bar available courtesy of locally based Purity Brewery to compliment the indoor facilities.
For those not wishing to miss out on the World Cup, TV screens are to be positioned in the supporters village, while live music will also be taking place after 2pm.
Birmingham and Solihull's ground is situated close to junction 3 of the M42.
