SHAMEFUL footage was posted online showing two prisoners in a brutal brawl at HMP Hewell.

The video, which went viral earlier this week but has since been removed, shows the inmates throwing punches and wrestling before one grabs the other in a choke-hold pushing him to the floor before attacking him with a chess board.

The fight, which the Advertiser has taken the decision not to show, was filmed in a cell and shows the two men start by throwing punches then violently wrestling each other.

An inmate in shorts then body slams the other prisoner onto a table before getting him in a headlock and chocking him pushing him down.

Someone can be heard to say "That's enough bro" before the inmate in shorts lets the other go and he quickly shuffles under a bed.

The footage, understood to have been taken at HMP Hewell earlier this week, follows a string of illegal recordings inside local prisons, including a Christmas rap video at HMP Hewell.

The Ministry of Justice, which runs HMP Hewell, said the behaviour is "completely unacceptable" and that the content has now been removed from social media.

A Prison Service spokesman said: “Those who break prison rules will face tough punishments, including extra time behind bars.

“We are taking decisive action to find and block mobile phones in prison, including a £2million investment to block mobile phone signals.”

An operation to crack down on mobile phones at the prison before Christmas discovered 79 mobiles, as well as a range of other illegal contraband.
