A SPECIAL celebration was recently held to mark a new chapter for Salford Priors Primary School.
The school recently opened as an academy as part of the Diocese of Coventry Multi Academy Trust.
Salford Priors Church of England Academy, as the school will now be known, also has a new head of school, Paula B Dhugga.
Councillors, members of local schools, churches and the community, parents, carers, staff and pupils joined together to share in a blessing for the school, led by the Bishop of Coventry, The Right Reverend Dr Christopher Cocksworth.
A spokesman from the school said: "The Bishop led a delightful service, pupils did themselves proud with the readings and sharing their new school prayer for the first time. Visitors were then given a tour of the school by staff and pupils."
