TWO tireless fundraisers from Redditch have spoken of their heartbreak after their son tragically passed away in the early hours of the morning.

Tributes flooded in after Rob and Maggie Underwood, of the charity Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation, announced the passing of their son Carrick, 19, on Facebook.

The couple previously lost their daughter Charlotte to a heart-related condition aged just 16 in 2010, and their son Craig also died following a heart-related condition aged 17 in December 2013.

Posting on their charity's Facebook page, the couple said: "It's is with a very heavy heart that we have to say at 1.15 am 11/1/18 this morning we lost our beloved son Carrick.

"We are heartbroken, numb and totally lost.

"Love you so much son.

"Why is it always the good ones so much evil and you keep taking our babies. God bless son XXX 💔💔💔 XXX."

Hundreds of people have paid tribute on Facebook.

Jordan Cooke wrote: "How truly heartbreaking. Carrick was such a lovely young man, he used to spend many Wednesdays with us at Art Club when he was younger at Your Ideas."

Laura Elizabeth added: "I have no words. I am so so sorry Maggie and Rob. I cannot imagine going through this once, let alone three times."

Leigh Blakeman added: " RIP Carrick - may your memories of the love you shared with him be of comfort at this time."

Carrick was beginning his first job as a chef at Field View Residential Care Home in November, with his family expressing his excitement at the time.

The couple have tirelessly campaigned to raise money for lifesaving defibrillators through their charity, which have been installed in schools, fire stations, and community centres, across Redditch and Bromsgrove.
