AN Alcester construction firm has created five jobs following a £75,000 loan.

Arden Construction, based on Springfield Business Park, is expanding its fleet to celebrate its 25th anniversary thanks to asset finance from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.

The support has allowed the company to expand its fleet of vehicles by a further four Ford Transit Customs, which add to a 29-strong fleet, meaning the firm can now service existing clients more efficiently and take on new contracts.

The new vehicles are silver, to mark the firm’s 25th anniversary.

Five job opportunities have been created to meet increased demand, growing the workforce by 10 per cent.

Annual turnover is also predicted to increase by 10 per cent from £7m.

Carl Brooker, managing director at Arden Construction, said: "We pride ourselves on providing a high quality of service to customers in the surrounding region, and 90 per cent of what we do uses the local supply chain on some level.

"Investing in new vehicles and growing our workforce enables us to continue to deliver exceptional customer service to our clients, whilst giving us the capacity to take on new contracts. Lloyds Bank has fully understood our business strategy and has supported us as we take steps towards further growth."

Ross Veale, relationship director for Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, said: "Arden Construction is central to Warwickshire’s infrastructure, providing a pivotal service to the education and health systems. The management team has expressed huge ambition and established sustainable growth plans, and we have supported this journey through tailored funding."
