A GROUP of volunteers in Alcester will have a spring in their step when they complete their big clean up.
Environmental group Litter Free Alcester are holding their Big Spring Clean on Saturday, March 4 and everyone is invited to help.
Susan Juned, from Litter Free Alcester, said: "This clean-up will show others that we care about the future of our local environment. What is good about working together like this is it creates a sense of community and shows our pride in Alcester.”
The clean-up will take place between 10am and noon.
Volunteers can meet at the Jubilee Centre where litter picking equipment will be available.
Last year the group backed the Clean for The Queen campaign, national campaign to give the country a tidy-up ahead of Her Majesty's 90th birthday.
According to figures revealed by anti-litter campaign, Keep Britain Tidy, across the UK taxpayers fork out £1billion a year to clean our streets.
