People thanked for raising a "fabulous" £5,830
AN amazing £5,830 was raised by the Studley Branch of the Royal British Legion in this year's poppy appeal.
The committee of the Studley branch thanked all who bought poppies this year and donated to the appeal.
Organiser Steve Noke, said: "This is a fabulous result and we would like to thank everyone who helped organise the day and all residents who contributed so generously.
"The Studley branch almost went out of existence recently, but with a newly invigorated committee we are in very good shape for the future."
