FOLLOWING the success of last years Rock Idol competition, Chicago Rock Cafe, in Redditch town centre, is getting ready to launch Rock Idol 2007.
Last year, BBC Fame Academy judges Carrie and David Grant hosted the grand final at the venue and picked Keith Jack as the winner.
Since then, they have worked with Keith and he has gone on to take second place on BBC's Any Dream Will Do.
Dave Allen, from Chicago Rock Cafe, said: "This really does go to show that Rock Idol is a serious competition that can give normal people the chance to become recognised and, as we've seen, this can lead to anything.
"However, Rock Idol is also about having fun and the chance to get up in front of a crowd and show them your talents."
Other finalists in last years competition included Joanna Powers and Kate Summerset, who both went on to appear in the finals of ITV show Grease is the Word.
