A WOMAN was left with broken bones and a suspected chest injury after a crash in Wixford.
Two cars were involved in the smash on Wixford Road at 5.05pm yesterday (Monday).
The injured woman, who is in her 30s, was trapped in the car for 45 minutes before being rescued by firefighters.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said the woman, who was taken to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital, had broken both of her legs, her knee and had a suspected chest injury.
An 18-month-old boy who was in the same car appeared to have nothing more than a cut lip, but because of the high level of damage done to both cars, he was taken to the Alexandra Hospital as a precaution.
The female driver of the other car, who was in her 20s, had managed to get herself out of her vehicle but as she had a minor head wound she was also taken to the Alexandra Hospital as a precaution.
