A REDDITCH man has been given a seven-day prison sentence for breaching an Anti-Social Behaviour Injunction.
Anthony Bevan, aged 21 years, of Sanders Close, admitted entering the area of Bushley Close, from which he is excluded under the terms of the injunction, Worcester County Court was told.
Mr Bevan had been arrested for this breach on March 13, the day after entering the area, and was subsequently remanded in custody by His Honour Judge Hooper until 20 March.
Following Mr Bevan’s admission of the breach Judge Hooper activated a previous suspended prison sentence of seven days given for an earlier breach, which sentence had been served on remand, and ordered a further seven day period of imprisonment for the latest breach.
Redditch Borough Council’s anti-social behaviour manager Liz Bellaby said: “The council, with the support of police, will not hesitate to robustly enforce such injunction breaches. In this case the order was sought to protect residents in the area from on-going nuisance and annoyance.”
The injunction will remain in force until December 2 2015 unless it is revoked by further order of the court.
